Spotify Wrapped all time: your five of all time

Every year in late November or early December, Spotify releases your Wrapped, with your most-played songs and artists of that year. In 2025 it came out on December 3. Spotify doesn't make an all-time Wrapped covering all your years together. There is a workaround. And which records have really been yours all those years, only you can say.

What Wrapped doesn't show

Wrapped counts how often you played something. A song you put on forty times in January because you couldn't get it out of your head ranks high. The record from your wedding, which you only play on your anniversary, doesn't show up at all.

If you still want to see what you've played most over all your years, there's a workaround. Through your account on Spotify's website, you can request your full listening history. It can take up to thirty days, and you get a folder of files instead of an overview. It also leaves out everything you played before you had Spotify, on cassette, CD or vinyl.

How to make your own five of all time

Your Wrapped is a good start. Put it next to the records from way back and go through these questions:

Which song from your Wrapped do you still want to hear in ten years?
Which record have you been playing longer than you've had Spotify?
Which song would you play for someone to explain who you are?
Which record do you put on when there's something to celebrate?

From your answers, pick the five that move you most and line them up here, in your own order. For each record you can say in a few words why.

Share with the people you choose

You post your Wrapped on Instagram or in the family group chat. Your five you share differently: you invite up to five people, and only they see your list. Ask for theirs while you're at it. Your list stays put until you change it yourself, even when next year's Wrapped comes along.
